We were delighted to work with the team behind this new multi-purpose live lounge and arena in Torquay, and produce these hospitality design and guest experience concepts. The project involved the transformation of a disused building, taking it back to a shell, into a 1200 person capacity arena for a variety of applications including live music, theatre, comedy, and cultural events. It featured state of the art backstage and front-of-house arena facilities, a high quality sound system and LED screens, several bars along with a flexible and yet atmospheric arena space for different-sized audiences and different formats. The arena space features an industrial design, utilising raw materials like brick, corrugated metal, and concrete. We then redefined the live music arena experience by turning the venue into an immersive canvas, using wall and ceiling projections that shift with each night’s theme to fully surround the audience in the moment.
